Position Title: Assistant Teacher II - (Inn Circle)

Location: Inn Circle, Cedar Rapids

Work Schedule: 8:00 - 4:30 M-F Full day/Full Year

Wage: $10.10/hr

Summary Description: The Assistant Teacher supports the Teacher in planning, implementing and maintaining a nurturing and supportive educational program for participating children. The Assistant Teacher facilitates all program operations during the teacher’s absence. The Assistant Teacher has the key responsibility for carrying out duties related to site maintenance and security at the close of each day. This position also works to carry out activities covering the comprehensive nature of the program.

Qualifications: AA degree in early childhood OR 2 yrs exp in a licensed child care program AND Pre-school CDA, Related degree with 9 hrs in early childhood education

Position Title: Early Childhood Teacher II (Coral Ridge)

Location: Coralville

Work Schedule: 7:15am - 3:15pm M-F (Full Year)

Wage: $13.34/hr

Summary Description:  The Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining a nurturing and supportive educational program for participating families and children. The position oversees the daily implementation of all Head Start standards being implemented into a classroom.

Qualifications: Bachelor degree in early childhood education or AA in Early Childhood Education and 2 years preschool experience. Bachelor degree in related field AND One of the following Current Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential Endorsement to teach at the early childhood level 18 hours of coursework in early childhood education

Position Title: Head Start Cook

Location: Old Main, Washington

Work Schedule: 20/week 9-1 M-F

Summary Description: Responsible for food preparation and maintaining a functional kitchen that provides daily meal service for the Head Start Centers.

Qualifications: High School dipolma or GED. One year food service experience.

Position Title: Lead Toddler Worker II

Location: Smith Center, Cedar Rapids

Work Schedule: 8:00am - 4:00pm M-F

Wage: $10.90/hr

Summary Description: This position is responsible for the implementation of the program activities within the infant/toddler center. Primary responsibilities include meeting the basic needs of the children and parents involved in the infant/toddler program.

Position Title: Maintenance Worker II

Location: Inn - Circle Cedar Rapids

Work Schedule: 40 hours/week

Wage: $11.05/hr

Summary Description: The Maintenance Worker II must have the skills necessary to repair and maintain housing units and grounds. This position must be self-organized, have the ability to relate to others, be dependable and flexible. This person will have routine contacts with fellow employees, clients and area vendors and should be able to obtain, clarify and give facts relating to the position in areas of responsibilities.

Qualifications: 1. Two years work experience, which demonstrates maintenance skills including carpentry, plumbing repair, painting and minor electrical skills in home/office maintenance areas. 2. Work experience that demonstrate ability to follow and communicate instructions, ability to work with others and flexibility.
