Position Title: Early Head Start Family Support Worker/Home Visitor II
Location: Marion Early Head Start, Cedar Rapids
Work Schedule: Full Year, 40 Hrs/Wk
Wages: $14.56/Hr + Benefits
Summary Description:
This position is responsible for building and maintaining a partnership with families that encourages the growth, safety, and well-being of the entire family. The Family Support Worker/Home Visitor embodies a strength-based approach empower and nurture individuals and families towards stabilization and maintain self-sufficiency.
Qualifications:
One of the following: 1. BA in Early Childhood Education 2. BA in a related field with 18 hours of actual early childhood coursework 3. BA in related field with current Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential and one (1) year experience working with young children 4. AA in Early Childhood Education and two years experience working with young children 5. AA in a related field with nine hours of early childhood coursework and two years experience in working with young children

Location: Marion Head Start, Marion
Work Schedule: 30 hours/week, 10:30am-4:00pm, M-F, Part Year
Wages: $18.32/hr + Benefits
Summary Description:
The Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining a nurturing and supportive educational program for participating families and children. The position oversees the daily implementation of all Head Start standards being implemented into a classroom.
Qualifications:
1. One of the following: • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education • Bachelor’s degree in related field and a current CDA • Bachelor’s degree with Early Childhood endorsement • Bachelor’s degree in related field and 18hours or coursework in Early Childhood Education • AA in Early Childhood Education and 2 years preschool experience AND 2. Current State of Iowa Early Childhood Teacher License

Position Title: Assistant Teacher II **Starts August 18, 2014**
Location: Waterfront Head Start, Iowa City
Work Schedule: 40 Hours/Week, 8:15am-4:45pm, M-F, Full Year
Wages: $13.10/Hour + Benefits
Summary Description:
The Assistant Teacher supports the Teacher in planning, implementing and maintaining a nurturing and supportive educational program for participating children. This position also works to carry out activities covering the comprehensive nature of the program.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education OR • Two years experience in a licensed (or school district based) child care program AND One of the following: Pre-school Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential One year Early Childhood Diploma from an accredited Community College Other related Associate’s Degree with nine (9) hours of coursework in Early Childhood Education

Position Title: Weatherization Technician
Location: Hiawatha Office
Work Schedule: 8:00 - 4:30 M-F
Wages: TBD
Summary Description:
The primary responsibility of the Weatherization Technician is to perform weatherization services in homes and housing units of program-eligible participants. Under direct supervision from the Weatherization Crew Supervisor, duties include; installing materials, operating blower doors and insulation blowers, operating other hand and power tools, performing equipment maintenance, and generally performing various aspects of manual labor.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience performing insulation and/or housing rehabilitation duties. 2. Must be able to work independently and complete various tasks associated with residential construction and specifically insulation and remodel work. 3. Good knowledge of safety practices regarding the proper use of power and/or hand tools and equipment utilized to perform home weatherization/rehabilitation services.
