HACAP & Building Pros RESTOCK our Community!
HACAP & Building Pros RESTOCK our Community!
March 16, 2011
The leadership of 15,000 people who work for Eastern Iowa skilled trades unions and signatory contractor firms (
The Building Pros of Eastern Iowa
) have stepped up to the plate to attempt to help HACAP and its Food Reservoir fill the growing gaps between increased emergency food demand and donations of both cash and food to the program. The effort is called “
Operation RESTOCK
” and, effort leaders note, is both aggressive and needed and will go on until demand and supply is better balanced.
Building Pros
contractors have worked with their union partners to place food product totes at job sites, offices and union halls. Companies and individuals have been asked and are responding to requests for
RESTOCK
funds that would be turned into the food HACAP needs to be able to fulfill emergency food pantry demands.
Any individual or organization who would like to help in the
RESTOCK
effort either connect directly with
HACAP
or contact
info@buildingpros.com
. We, like you, do not want area families and children to go hungry.
