Plant a Row for the Hungry
HACAP's Food Reservoir and Buds Community Garden Network invite you to participate in our local "Plant a Row for the Hungry" program this season.
Plant a Row for the Hungry (PAR) is a program that was launched by the Garden Writer's Association in 1995. The program encourages local gardeners and farmers to plant an extra row (or more!) of fresh produce to donate to local food pantries and other food assistance programs.
Suggested garden produce donations include (but are not limited to): tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, peas, green beans, sweet corn, zucchini, winter squash, carrots, potatoes, apples, etc.
For more information, see the
PAR Brochure and
Donor Reporting Form, or contact Dora Bopp at
dbopp@hacap.org or 319-739-0051.
