Annual Dinner Awards 2007
Posted 11/01/2007

This years Luther Trent Family Achievement Award winner is Yvette Brose. The Rozetta “Rozie” Schermerhorn Hall of Fame Award winner is Chris Mueller.

HACAP established the Luther Trent Family Achievement Award in 1997. It is presented to a family, who, with the assistance of HACAP, has achieved self-sufficiency and independence. The award is named for Luther Trent, who has served as a volunteer for more than 30 years. With this award, HACAP seeks to honor those families who have attained or surpassed their family goals.

The Rozetta “Rozie” Schermerhorn Hall of Fame Award was established by the HACAP Board of Directors in 1996 in honor of Rozie Schermerhorn, who from 1990 to 1995 was a dedicated HACAP volunteer.

Rozie began volunteering to assist the Homeless Children’s Trust in outfitting homeless children for school and served as its Chair from 1991 until 1995. She also served on the HACAP Board of Directors, Board Development Committee, Executive Committee, and as Vice-president of the Board.
The selection criteria are as follows: Service to HACAP in a policy-making capacity; Activities in direct service for HACAP and involvement in the broader community on behalf of low-income people.
