HACAP Landscaping Program Coordinator Gregg Goodell recently finished a project at a transitional housing unit in Cedar Rapids.
The house on 7th Avenue SE has been the home for over a year to a family of six who joined in on the project. Among the plants added were knockout roses, boxwoods, birchleaf spireas, lilacs, and ornamental grass.
"This was a very satisfying project, the edging and woodchips were already in place, all we needed to do was add the plants...It's great having the family participate, especially the kids" -Greg Goodell, HACAP Landscaping Program Coordinator
