PACES is good for the community because…
PACES is committed to improving the availability of quality child care in the communities we serve. This is done through requiring providers to be registered as a Child Development Home through the Department of Human Services.
PACES also provides resources and information on the Iowa Quality Rating System, T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship program, and accreditation through the National Association of Family Home Child Care. Since its inception in 1999, PACES has assisted five providers in becoming nationally accredited through the National Association of Family Home Child Care.
PACES provides training seminars, free of charge, to our providers on topics related to child development, developmentally appropriate practices, and the business of family child care.
