Why should you be a part of PACES?

PACES staff brings resources, materials, and information literally right to your door…

PACES is committed to improving the availability of quality child care in the communities we serve.

PACES is a free program for family home child care providers.  PACES offers:

  • Home visits from PACES staff bringing developmentally appropriate activities for you and the children you serve.

  • Free trainings on a variety of topics relevant to children’s development and your family child care business.

There are two levels of participation in the PACES program; First Steps, and the PACES Providers program.  The First Steps program is geared toward providers who may just be getting started with their family home child care business, providers who may or may not be familiar with the DHS registration process, and providers who are interested in the PACES Providers program but are seeking more information.  First Steps consists of up to three visits with the Child Care Educator that are individualized to answer specific questions about your home child care business.

To be a part of the PACES program, providers must meet certain requirements, which vary slightly by county.
