Early Childhood Development

Developmental events in the first five years of a person life play a significant role in a person’s adult success. Several HACAP programs focus on these pivotal years in a person’s growth.


	CACFP - Homes Nutritious meals are a fundamental need for all people, especially for growing children. Good nutrition promotes age-specific development and learning. It provides children with the building blocks necessary for maturation.

	Crisis Child Care Crisis Child Care offers safe shelter for children in during times of family crisis. Care is provided in the homes of experienced and trained providers.

	Head Start HACAP focuses on early child development to provide essential resources to children during a critical time of growth.

	PACES The PACES Providers program strengthens the quality and expands the availability of child care for families with infants and toddlers within Linn County.

	Quality Early Childhood Environments The mission of the Quality Early Childhood Environments(QECE) involves the improvement of locally licensed center-based child care.
