LIHEAP (Energy Assistance)
The current season for Energy Assistance ended on April 30th. Elderly and disabled individuals will be able to apply again October 1, 2022 and everyone else November 1, 2022.
Anyone needing to apply for any of the following crisis assistance programs below, can do so by downloading the application and attaching the following documentation.

IDENTIFICATION: Social Security cards for everyone in household or valid Iowa Driver's License

HEATING/ELECTRIC BILL: Your most current heat and electric bill.

INCOME PROOF: Wages, Salary, Social Security or SSI, past year Federal Tax Form

UTILITY AUTHORIZATION RELEASE: Only if utilities are not under your name.

Utility Crisis Assistance
Those needing assistance with disconnect notices, reconnections, past due bill, missing a payment under a pay arrangement can apply by dowloading the application above.
Water Crisis Assistance
Those needing assistance with disconnects, reconnection, past due bill, missing a utility payment under a pay arrangement.
LP/Deliverable Fuel Assistance
Assists LP/Deliverable fuel customers if they have 30% or less fuel in their tank.
Submission
Return completed paper applications to your nearest Energy Assistance Office (see list below). Due to COVID-19, we are unable to meet clients in person. Drop off boxes will be placed outside each site for application submissions.
