SAVE THE DATE! Mind of a Child: Early Childhood Mental Health Summit Coming This February!
2020 has been a challenging year for everyone. COVID and the Iowa Derecho impacted not only us adults, but also the children in our lives. This 4-hour morning virtual conference is geared towards childcare providers, teachers, caregivers, foster parents, and community professionals who work with young children and their families.
Plan on attending the Mind of a Child: Early Childhood Mental Health Summit to learn more about early childhood mental health, what impacts brain development, and how to support children's caregivers to give them their best start. Mind of a child sessions will be eligible for childcare and foster parent trainign credit hours (pending approval).

KCRG-TV9's Show You Care is at it again this year helping our HACAP Food Reservoir with a virtual food drive that will raise funds for food insecure Eastern Iowans!
Funds from the online drive will be used to provide Thanksgiving food items to families and children that HACAP serves through it's 9 county service area. Families who are receiving services from HACAP are living at or below the Federal Poverty Guidelines. The overall mission of the food drive is to create awareness about food insecurity and raise funds to purchase food for distribution to those in need.
