Everyone Can Help Fight Hunger!

HACAP is excited to announce the return of our annual Community Food Drive, running from June 1st, through August 31st. Serving Monticello, Vinton, Washington, Central City, and Linn County, this initiative helps ease the burden on food insecure homes during the summer months when children are home from school, and grocery costs increase. We are calling on local businesses, organizations, families, and individuals to support this community-wide food and fund drive. All food donations go directly to our partner agencies as they support families across our service area, with donations from our rural events going directly to the pantry locations in that area. This expansion helps ensure that more families in underserved areas receive the support they need. Financial donations play an equally critical role, allowing HACAP to purchase and distribute food efficiently and help put meals on the tables of Iowans in need.

How You Can Contribute

Community Members: Donate food, funds, or extra produce from your garden (see below) to help your neighbors in need. For every $1 you donate we're able to provide 3 meals to families in need.

Local Organizations: Sign up to participate as a donation collection location! Pick your dates - we'll supply collection boxes, promo materials and track all donations back to you. Opportunities are available to become a sponsor and choose your level of support and be recognized for your impact.
