Applications now available for The Heights!
HACAP is proud to partner with the City of Cedar Rapids on it's a new affordable housing building in downtown Cedar Rapids, called 'The Heights'. HACAP will oversee The Heights after the city's 7 million dollar investment into the community that will aim to combat local homelessness. In total, The Heights will house 25 units with 6 of those being ADA compliant for individuals with a disability.
HACAP would like to thank the City of Cedar Rapids, Iowa Economic Development, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Emergent Architecture for making this project possible, and Hills Bank for helping to furnish the units shown during the open house.
Additional Information
- Applications will be accepted starting on Tuesday May 7th at 7:30am.
- Applications on Tuesday May 7th will be accepted in person at The Heights or virtually via the online application link on our website or pdf emailed to housing@hacap.org. Dropping off applications at any other location on Tuesday May 7th will not be accepted.
- Paper applications can be picked up in the blue boxes outside our Corporate, Urban, and Inn Circle offices starting Friday May 3rd
- Pets will not be allowed. (Service animals and emotional support pets are accepted with appropriate documentation)
- 1 Bedroom - $650.00/month
- 2 Bedroom - $800.00/month
- Security deposit is equal to one month rent.
General Housing Application Process
Please return the completed Housing Application with the following items:
- $25 per adult non-refundable application fee - Payable ONLY by Check or Money Order - Made out to HACAP
- Driver's License or Picture ID
- Past 30 day income documentation for each adult listed on application
- If you are in a shelter or staying with family/friends, include letter from the shelter or the person you are staying with stating this
