HACAP serves the following counties in Iowa: Benton, Dubuque, Delaware, Iowa, Jackson, Johnson, Jones, Linn and Washington. LIHEAP

Assists low-income families meet the cost of home heating by providing a one-time payment to the heating utility.

HACAP Food Reservoir

Explore a full list of food pantries, meal sites, schools, and community organizations across our 9 county service area.

WIC

Helping pregnant women, breastfeeding women, postpartum women, and children under 5 stay healthy.

Operation Home

Improving the housing stability of homeless veterans and their families. Operation Home also offers case management services.

I-Smile

Connects children and pregnant women with dental, medical, and community resources for a lifetime of health and wellness.

Disaster Assistance

The Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program provides grants of up to $7,000 for households with incomes up to 200 percent poverty level. 

Embrace Iowa

Embrace Iowa is a collaborative initiative between ICAA, and the Des Moines Register, dedicated to helping Iowans in need

Affordable Housing

Providing housing for low-income families with children while managing a number of apartments and single-family dwellings.

Senior Dining

Located in Belle Plaine and Vinton, IA, our sites offer hot meals to those in need who can't make it out of their homes. 

Family Learning Connection

Provides Linn County families with group education, resources and connections that help raise healthy, school-ready children.

Hawki/Medicaid

Hawki offers free or low-cost health care coverage for kids and teens under 19 years of age. 

Northwest Neighborhood Resource Center

Formerly Olivet Mission, NWNRC houses both a food market and Head Start. 

Head Start

Early childhood education for low-income children (ages 3-5) and their families free of cost.

Weatherization

Works to reduce personal utility costs by improving the housing stock of low-income individuals and families. 

VITA

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, is a free, reliable, and trusted source for preparing tax returns for eligible families. 

SNAP

SNAP provides nutrition benefits to supplement the food budget to families in need to purchase healthy foods on their own.
