VITA Tax Preparer (Dubuque, IA)

Description: As a volunteer with the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program, you will play a vital role in helping individuals and families in your community access free tax preparation services. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients in completing their tax returns, providing information on tax credits and deductions, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is accurately gathered and submitted.
 
Northwest Neighborhood Resource Center Food Market

Description: Volunteer responsibilities include but are not limited to checking neighbors in, helping with filling out paperwork, navigating translation with non-English speakers, and assisting neighbors with shopping. Volunteers will also help unload food, stock shelves, organize our market, check expiration dates, clean our space, and maintain an environment of dignified shopping. 
 
Belle Plaine & Marengo, IA Senior Dining Help (30 Minutes/Day Commitment, No Thursdays)

Description: Volunteers will help to prepare and serve meals for clients who utilize the diner as well as helping with clean-up and washing dishes after meals. 
 
Washington, IA Food Pantry
Location: Washington County Food Pantry, 2176 Lexington Blvd., Washington, IA 52353

Description: We are looking for regular and consistent volunteers who can help out during the week to organize and sort food donations. This helps us to get the food out quickly and safely to the hungry individuals in our community. In addition, we are looking for individuals who can help to assist with grocery store pick-ups of donated food.
