HACAP Welcomes Matt Majeski as New Chief Operating Officer

(HIAWATHA, IA) July 14, 2025 - Hawkeye Area Community Action Program (HACAP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Majeski as its new Chief Operating Officer. A seasoned leader in human services with over 25 years of experience, Matt brings a proven track record of building effective programs, leading high-performing teams, and fostering strong community partnerships.

Throughout his career, Matt has held key leadership roles, most notably serving as the Service Area Manager for the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, where he oversaw operations across 17 counties in eastern Iowa. He has also worked with Linn County Public Health and several community-based organizations, where he helped expand services and strengthen support systems for families. His leadership is defined by strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a deep-rooted commitment to helping individuals and communities thrive.

In addition to his career in public service, Matt is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Army National Guard, where he specialized in medical operations and operational planning. He lives in Urbana with his wife Paige. They have two children and are proud to call eastern Iowa home.
