What to Expect

At your WIC appointments, a Nutrition Specialist can answer any questions you have about your family’s health and nutrition. We may check heights, weights, and iron levels. We can also help you find resources in the community.

Types of Appointments

Certification - Completed every year

What to bring:
  • Yourself and children applying
  • Identification for everyone applying
  • Address
  • Income

FOLLOW UP - FOR PREGNANT MOTHERS COMPLETED EACH TRIMESTER

What to bring:
  • Yourself
  • WIC card or other identification

INFANT Health update - completed 3 TIMES A YEAR

What to bring:
  • Yourself and baby
  • WIC card or other identification
  • Most recent height, weight and iron levels, if available.

CHILD Health update - completed once a year

What to bring:
  • Yourself and Children
  • WIC card or other identification
  • Most recent height, weight and iron levels, if available.

NUTRITION EDUCATION - COMPLETED TWICE A YEAR

  • Can be in person. Bring your WIC card or other identification.
  • Can be completed by phone. A WIC nutritionist will call you at the time of your scheduled appointment.
  • Can be completed online at WIChealth.org
