HACAP Food Reservoir Celebrating 40 Years of Feeding Eastern Iowa
1 in 13 individuals in HACAP Food Reservoir’s service areas struggle with food insecurity. For so many Iowans, a daily meal isn’t a choice between different dishes. It is a choice between food and other crucial needs—like medicine, electricity, or childcare, and with kids being home in the summer, an even larger burden is put on families to provide meals.
“Partnerships are the key to all the work we do to feed people and end hunger. 260 community partners such as food pantries, meal sites, child care programs and residential facilities across all seven counties make the difference every day. Thousands of volunteers and staff work tirelessly to keep these programs running smoothly to help those in need”, said Kim Guardado, HACAP Food Reservoir Director.
HACAP Food Reservoir wouldn’t be able to feed our community if it wasn’t for our partners and all the hard work they put in every week. Find a full list of our partner agencies at hacap.org/ourpartners.
