HACAP Food Reservoir, Bloomsbury Farm set to reveal 2024 corn maze design May 10th

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - HACAP Food Reservoir and Bloomsbury Farm will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony May 10th at 1:30 PM at Bloomsbury Farm to reveal the design for Bloomsbury's annual corn maze, which will feature local food bank, HACAP Food Reservoir, in an effort to raise more awareness surrounding food insecurity in our community.
 

This event will also serve as the kick-off to HACAP Food Reservoir's summer food and fund drive called, Eastern Iowa Freedom from Hunger presented by Frontier Co-op.

Ribbon cutting for the event will be facilitated by the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance, and additional attendees will include news media outlets, elected officials, key Agriculture officials, and several community leaders. 

Additionally, Green State Credit UnionCrystal Group, and Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust will serve as event sponsors, along with providing 250 tickets that have gone to families utilizing HACAP's services to attend Bloomsbury Farm that day. Farmers and food banks share a mission to ensure reliable access to enough food for all people. This partnership aims to serve our most vulnerable, together.
