About Family Learning Connection (FLC)

You are your child’s first and most important teacher! Family Learning Connection is here to support you in that role of caring for your children. FLC provides Linn County families with group education, resources and connections that can help them raise healthy, school-ready children. Family Learning provides parenting information, advice and the support parents/caregivers through our free 6-8 week family learning groups.

Upcoming Parent Groups

The family learning groups are free to any family with young children 0-5 years in Linn County. We use a variety of formats and activities to teach about many topics, including understanding child development, communicating with your children and encouraging positive parent-child relationships. Parents/caregivers and children meet in a small-group setting with our expert facilitators at family-friendly locations throughout Linn County. Family learning sessions are completely free and include a family meal or snack, childcare and program materials. In addition, transportation assistance and interpretation services are available upon request.
