Marion Head Start Moving to New Location

After much anticipation, Marion’s Head Start site has landed at a new location, 5650 Kacena Ave. in Marion (formerly the Knights of Columbus Council 5390).

 

Over the past 6 months, many renovations have been made in able to turn the new location into a great space for early childhood learning as HACAP worked closely with Abode Construction to make sure the building best fits our needs. Overall, the new site will provide much more space for classrooms including a brand new outdoor play area and upgraded kitchen for daily meals. Upgrades have also been made to classroom exit doors that will allow teachers easy access to the outside playground area.

 

Our staff are very excited to have a new space where kids can grow and learn! Moving will take place in mid-March with programming expected to begin in mid-late March.

 

HACAP’s Head Start program provides comprehensive early childhood education for children ages 3-5. The program incorporates health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low-income children and families and is completely free.
