This year will mark the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, commonly known as WIC.

WIC program celebrates 50 years of compassion and care

WIC is administered in all 50 states, 33 Indian Tribal Organizations, the District of Columbia, and 5 U.S. Territories with roughly 10,000 provider clinics that serve nearly 6.7 million women, infants and children who currently participate.
